ERGO-SAM

TThe system was developed in a research project at Lindholmen Development and Chalmers University of Technology in cooperation with a pool of manufacturing companies (e.g. Volvo Car Company and ITT Flygt). ErgoSam was designed to get an analysis of the physical stress of manual work. It is based on SAM, a MTM high level system, and it is intended to be used:

• in a pre-production development phase
• by production planners/engineers with some basic ergonomic competence (not ergonomic experts)
